The SOGASCO PTA like many others in Ghana serves as a stakeholder in education. Its main objective includes mobilization parents and guardians of students in achieving physical, socia and academic excellence. The PTA also serve as the school's partner in development.

 

SOGASCO PTA seeks further to ensure the welfare of staff and students. It periodically examines the school's academic performance and addresses challenges confronting the school. It again helps to support in the provision of infrastructure and portable water as well as addressing some social and health needs of the school.

 

SOGASCO PTA under its indefatigable and unrelenting chairman, Torgbui Duklui V undertook numerous projects . These include: 

• The PTA constructed a six chamber-and-hall with six kitchens to serve as a teachers' quarters, and two semi-detached bungalows that accommodate nine teachers with their families. It renovated the boys' dormitory to provide more space for the students. The PTA also rehabilatted and expanded the multi-purpose hall and provided the fittings.

• SOGASCO PTA again completed both eight unit classrooms and a twelve unit storey building classrooms with four offices. These classrooms are being used by students.

• The PTA established SOGASCO Sick Bay, employed a nurse and her assistant. Students now receive treatment at the sick bay.

• The PTA supplied the schoolwith one hundred and three inches DURAPLAST pipes to enable the school administration to connect waterto the kitchen and also make water easily accessible to staff and students.

• The PTA supplied the school with two hundred mono desks, one hundred bunker beds and also furnished the Social and Language Departments of the school.

 

The PTA is pressed with funding. Funding of its projects is done through levies from parents on termly bases. This affects the early completionof projects. The PTA welcome support and funds from philantropists and coorperate bodies.
